I'm going to be doing a GenV swap on a WBS Gen3 IC and Gen3 LIM with N* TB. I'm running a breather now with the current Gen3 setup, but want to get rid of it and have functional PCV with the GenV. I've read through many threads and think I have the right idea on how to do it. Please let me know if I'm on the right track.

The WBS core has holes in the back by the PCV valve, so first thing would be to drill a hole in the LIM to match up with the hole in the bottom plate.

Then, run a hose from the vertical nipple on the back of the GenV to a fitting in the N* adapter plate (after TB blade).

Then, tap the side of the front valve cover, and run a hose from that fitting to the brass fitting in the N*TB (after MAF, before blade).

Will this setup work while being able to keep the PCV valve in the blower like stock? Should I run a catch can from the rear or is there not a whole lot of oil coming from the nipple in the blower? Thanks for any advice

Just realized the PCV port in the back of the genV is for FRESH air. Could I still use this if the PCV holes in the front of the LIM are blocked?

If so then it would go...

Hole drilled in rear of lim by pcv valve for the ic core
Rear (or front?) valve cover tapped and hose ran to N* adapter (post maf and tb blade) for positive vacuum
Hose ran from genV pcv port to N* pcv fitting (post maf, pre tb blade) for fresh air.

Again would the stock pcv valve be functional?

    1. your trying to put a gen V blower on a genIII IC core/LIM? might wanna check your math on that one...

    2. why dont you just run a breather and call it a day? to each their own but i think if you make all the new routing your just giving yourself more things that can malfunction (leak) in the long run... and correct me if im wrong but i dont think theres any huge side effects from running a breather...

whats to check? its been done numerous times.... maybe you're thinking of a genIII blower on a GenV core/LIM, cuz that doesnt work. And its known that a functional pcv is better than a breather. Reasons I want to get rid of the breather are to make tuning more consistent, get rid of the milky crap that builds up in the breather because of the moisture, and it helps the rings seal better.

I guess I could sell my core and get a new zzp one, but dont really want to put the money into it. Rather make it work with what I have.

I hope someone else comes in on this because I dont think you can do what you are trying to with the genV to gen III... i could be wrong not saying you are or anything...

but on the pcv note... ive never had "milky crap" on my breather and its not going to affect the rings sealing thats got more to do with engine temp...

ask a guy with a tuner though who would know but again I dont think it makes a difference in the tune IF you tune the car with it on there...

just my .02... i hope someone comes in with some answers for both of us...

It's not the most ideal way to set it up, as you do waste ~7/8" of the blower since its extended to the left more than the Gen3, but people have reported gains over a fully p&p Gen3. Some guys think there's only about 5hp lost over setting it up this way, rather than using a GenV core.
