    what is the purpose for it I bought a f1 ramair hood and the engine cover rubs it - should i use it in the winter to keep heat in motor

    its just for looks, nuthing else, it wont hold heat in.

    the cars run plenty hot enough without it

    I found mine in the shed last week end. I bet it does make some nice smoke. Take it off.

    Technically that's the first thing did was take it off, it's all for show.

    I keep mine on now cause my front valve cover is nasty.
    1999 GTPHP Tuned, Ported SC/TB, 42#'s, SSAC's, ZZP Modded 1.9's/LS6 Springs/Manley's, TransGo Shift Kit, Poly Uppers, KYB GR2's/Springtech's. - 231k and traded it in. - Gone
