Hey so i recently had my SES light come on and i had it scanned and it is a malfunctioning EGR valve, and insufficient Cat. converter. The guy told me that the EGR could be throwing off the cat, is this possible? i know my friend had the same problem and he just deleted the EGR valve, SO i was wondering how easy it is to replace it and how to do so, or am i better of bringing it to a shop and getting it done, or getting it deleted all together?

just delete it completely, but youre going to need a way to turn off the SES code.

delete is cheaper than "you need a new EGR valve and heres 2 hours of labour to replace it + diagnostic time"

cheaper = tube of copper RTV and two pennies.

i highly doubt any shop will delete your EGR.

    kinda illegal.

you need someone who can tune and two block off plates. one for the LIM and one for the rear exhaust mani.
