Actually I'd say check the throttle to see if it's being held open. If so unhook the cruise control cable (if it's messing up it couldl hold ya open) and then check the throttle cable for binding.
the throttle plate is shut like normal... its not open or anything
it started while i was driving and was pegged at 2500 rpm and in park it hits the rev limiter
There's 2-3 things that can control rpm.
Throttle position sensor (which if it was maxed the pcm should see it and toss a code)
IAC, could be stuck open..that can do it. I'd pull it and clean it.
Throttle plate..you've confirmed that, so rule it out.
MAF shouldn't because even if it lied to the pcm about airflow ...you'd choke out the cylinders w/o having enough air for the fuel.
Major vaccum leak.
where is the IAC? sorry im running a N* i should have mentioned that...
before I changed the TPS i threw the P1122 and P0122 codes
Since you're running a N*, make sure the TPS adapter is plugged in securely. I had a similar problem a while back with my N*. The connection at the factory plug to the adapter didn't seem to be secure. I unplugged it, added a touch of dielectric, and plugged it back in. No problems since then.
Glad I could be of assistance. I just know how temperamental those plug adapters are...
I'll be attempting to re-pin the factory plug to the N* tps plug in the future, to avoid the problem in the future.
