Well that's a given around here. And you must have missed the part where I stated it was quick for the few engine mods it has, far from fast. if you aren't running 10's or low 11's in the Dallas area you are considered SLOW.

If your not running 11's with a proper 2.8" setup, slicks, and a gear...and whatever other mods...like a big cam and head work...then you need a driver mod pronto.

11's is fast for a street car IMO.

    low 13's is quick.

14's and slower is just slow...

Chris Green ran my cam back in 2003 at the Alamo City Shootout with a stock transmission, slicks, SLP Headers, Thrasher Full-Size IC, Injectors, some sort of tune, and a intake with a 2.8 or 2.6 pulley...he went 12.2 @ what...110 I think...shredded the transmission shortly after. He was a big dude too...north of 250lbs+ So...since he had stock heads/trans/other junk...and I've got a built low comp. motor/3EP trans, heads and the valvetrain to support the higher powerband of the TEP Cam...I don't see why 11's aren't impossible.

Again you fail. I never once stated I was fast and could careless to be there. My car is piss slow(comparing apples to apples) and will continue to be so. There are better platforms to begin with when it comes to modding and wanting to make something "fast."

Sadly enough GP's are laughed at around here.

no **** genius. we arent a bunch of ricers that think we are badass in our gps. it is funny however when a properly modded gp beats a "so called sports car". also considering there are much worse platforms i see no problem in the w-body. or should i just jump on the bandwagon and go buy a mustang or camaro like every other jackass out there, no offense to anyone who owns one though.

Never said you were. I just simply stated there are better platforms to start with. Why the **** would you go buy a mustang you would be worse off. If it's a 302 it can only handle 500hp before it splits the block. I was more or less referring to RWD with a SBC. Doesn't have to be a Camaro, but something like a Vega, s10, or squarebody blazer.

Most acquire GTP's cause of the S/C and it's something different. Not to mention they are cheap as hell and insurance is cheap as well. I actually enjoy my GTp I pull up to a car meet and I'm pretty much the only GP on the lot. Makes you feel good when you think outside the box.

Did you really say an s10 is a better platform? Please tell me how you get traction in a build s10.

you don't! lol i knew this guy years ago he put a 350 in a chevy luv built the sh!t out of it, had nos and cut outs on the exhaust, damn wheels spun so fast they didn't smoke, he went through 4 or 5 rear ends, wound up building a custom set up to keep it in with a 9 inch,( the rears were being torn out) and had a box of broken u joints in the back as well as replacements on board,,thing was sick but it never hooked up he lit the tires up for 5 blocks one time , it had a 4 speed in it and you could see the the burn outs stop and start again when he was shifting gears, f'in sick truck

Please tell me you read and understood I said a SBC. Which would require a swap in the vehicles I posted. I take it you aren't familiar with any of them?

Nope, specs and said vehicle? If they are "fast" local and online then I would assume they are on dfwss.org or dallasracing.net? Those two sites have owners with the fastest vehicles locally 1/8th mile, 1/4 mile, or mile pick your poison.
