BlackGS - thats exactly the table I was looking for - thank you. Right now I'm scanning with a Snapon tool - by no means a permanent installation, but I've taken it around with me for a while to monitor KR and make sure the fueling looks ok (from a narrow band perspective), and like I said originally have seen 2* pulled at most, under heat soaked conditions, usually I'm getting none, or just an occasional blip. I will probably buy another Aeroforce gauge, I had one of the beta's when he first started making them, and then an upgraded one, I can't say enough for the value of that product.

Somebody tell me more about the ZZP PCM and why its a grenade. I don't have experience with them, I had a DHP tune before on my 3400 and that was ok. Doing my own tune would be acceptable but I don't want to pay up for the software and the wideband for a basic bolt on car and I figure a mail order will be sufficient and more cost effective.

the zzp tune is hit or miss, just like all box tunes. that is what they made scanners for. some cars will run phenomenal with just a generic tune, others will run way too lean/rich and not make it.

it might work for you, it might not. the most 'trusted' around here is the DHP PCMs, however there are other options if you look.

Yea - agreed thats the best option, just not sure I want to pay for the software/wideband on such a mild setup - I plan on just a 3.4" pulley with supporting mods and calling it done. I will have to see if there are any dyno's around with software licenses for the L67.

Good heads up. Still really trying to wrap my head around what I will do with this car. It seems like it would be pretty easy to do headers/intake/pulley/tune w/ cooler plugs/stat and make 50 or so more hp. Thats a mid 13 at best, not bad, but not all that impressive either. I may just leave it stock and look for another f-body when the budget permits. The mod bug will probably get the best of me soon enough...

You should buy the headers and an intercooler. That should be for easy high 12's with a good track prep and a decent driver mod.

I say Open Cone, Speed Daddy Headers, ZZP Stage 2 Intercooler, AL103's, 42.5# Injectors, 3.0"/2.8" Pulley, Ported L67 TB/Ported GenIII M90, and a GOOD Tune. I mean...your looking at about 1500-2000 bucks...but...it'll make your F-Body look like a D Series Honda in comparison.

Agreed - but $2k into the F-body would have been an 11's capable heads/cam car...

If I do anything its looking like Speed Daddy headers, intake (of some sort, I'll start with the basic open cone and do some scanning to see how I feel about potential heat soak), 104s, a 3.5/3.4" pulley, and a good tune - hopefully hooking up with a local. Maybe rockers - then definitely a 3.4".

My secondary concern here is with the above mentioned 3.4" setup, especially if its with rockers, I'm starting to get up to the limits of the trans for d/d high miles reliability. Definitely over the limit with the intercooled setup. I've done the modded daily drivers before, I can't let this one get out of hand.

You're comparing apples to oranges when you look at an LSX car vs a L67.

    biiiiiiiig difference obviously.

I've begged for years for a Fox Body....ain't gonna happen though.

I favor a header setup with a pulley and pcm, for a good DD...then maybe rockers when some good buys come up. Everybody's different.
