Will the genV physically bolt up to a L-67 LIM ? I'm thinking of using a genV on a SS-m90 kit which uses a modded L-67 LIM with injector holes in the mnfld ,as far as the clearance issues I can do my own .

yes, you just need to open the outlet a bit. (The bit towards the front of the engine)

I might be mistaken, but you have to get an L32 LIM to mount a Gen V. Throttle body adapter too.

    ^Um...waaaaaaaaay off there.

L67 1997-2003 LIM will be just fine if you machine the outlet some as stated above. Unless you want to run the 2004-05 LIM with no machining required, then go for that. Most machine shops will charge about $15.00 to $20.00 to do this service, its easy to machine it.

You will for sure have to run a GenV SC gasket, and depending on your throttle body, yes, for sure you will have to run some sort of adapter plate so they mate up. The '04+ had a 4 bolt TB that was electronically controlled, ours must remain cable controlled. How it should be IMO.

The SS M90 kit for a GenIII wont work correctly with a GenV M90. It wil bolt up yes, but will not be cooling all the out let air from the blower because the opening of the GenV is a little bigger, and moved forward to the edge of the rotor assembly, and on into it, where on a GenIII, shorter, and stops at the rotor assembly.

The LIM for the SS kit has been ported for an IC and I'm running a SSIC ,yes I know I need a TB adapter ,I'm just asking if the GenV will bolt to the L-67 LIM.

So, the standard 'intercooler cut' will work, that opens up the inlet?

Just match the LIM to the gen V gasket, the SSIC wont work cause the core is smaller than the outlet on the gen v, and I would imagine it will cause turbulence and be a restriction.......

W/o the ic the LIM should be able to be machined out to work.... but on an L36 block, you might want to get a gen V intercooler setup

What are we doing here, this for your car? I see you have a GT, do you have the top swap already done?

You need to see if the IC you have is made for a GenIII or a GenV. If its a gen III, yes it will bolt up, but the core will not be where it should be for the outlet of the GenV to "blow through it" is what were getting at.

GenIII stuff has to be made for GenIII stuff and GenV stuff has to be made for GenV stuff. You can mix and match, but you have to know the basic facts.

    Read thread here:

And see if that helps answer your questions you have.

I already have the SS m-90 and SSIC so the LIM is already ported and I can see by the thread you listed what the problems would be (THX) ,at this point I do'nt really know if I'll go with the GenV just curious to see what would be needed to do the swap with my currant setup.

The blower that matches the IC, and the LIM that matches the IC, misc. plumbing, hard wear and thats your installment.
