with my luck they'll want to charge me just to scan it. To bad hptuners doesn't, I guess I'll have to just bug my buddy to borrow the tech 2 from his work.

The abs is in the bcm only techII's can read bcm codes. My friend works at a chevy dealership so i never pay for the tech II scans. Anyways one day my abs light came on and we scanned it. It showed left front was the problem. We replaced the hub and the light still stayed on.

We then were sure it was in the wiring. If you follow the wiring from the abs sensor to the bcm you'll find a midpoint harness/plug. We seperated the plug and with the help of a multimeter we found the plug was bad. We had to cut out the plug and replace it with a new one.

Not true. I know for sure the Snap-On scanner and HP Tuners will both read codes from the BCM, and I'm sure there are others as well.

X2. I watched a snap-on scanner pull the codes saying the right rear speed sensor was bad on my last GP.

Do I need to post a screenshot? I've used HPTuners a number of times to read BCM codes, including those for the wheel speed sensors.
