Myself personally Id rather just buy a whole wrecked GXP and take the seats suspension brakes wheels engine and trans. To make it cost effective and then sell what ever body parts I could to recoup some of the cost. Ive seen wrecks going for around 5000 to 6500. If you dont think their is an aftermarket for them check out ls1tech.com and look in the ls4 section. Sure it isnt cheap though. Guys over their got the cam heads and intake swaps down. Head/cam/intake ls engine will make plenty of NA HP for what the trans can handle.

No...they don't. You call 300 WHP numbers? Gimme a break. And why would you take the transmission out of it and put it in a '97-'03 car. Last I checked you can't even do that because the GXP uses paddle shifters anyways...totally different internals. Plus...the LS4 sucks. It makes stupid amounts and heat and requires a damn crazy amount of tuning to go fast.
