You could, but why? It's a pain to remove the timing cover, so I would opt to do it as few times as possible.
Why would I be removing it more this way? Instead of opening the front when I do the springs, I was going to do it a little bit down the road. I don't have forever to work on my car like I used to, so bits and pieces is better for me.
