I think I'm going to go with a vs cam. I can leave the stock springs in for now and throw some rockers in with stiffer springs in the future if I decide this doesn't get me back and forth to work fast enough. I'll put in a new chain and dampener while there also.

I have a couple questions if anybody knows. First, when dropping the cradle on the passenger side for the cam, is it possible I'll pop the steering shaft out even if I keep the drop to the absolute minimum? I want to be prepared if it's possible that it falls out even if I do it right. Second, will it be safe to drive this untuned for a few days with a small cam like this? I don't want to blow it up if it needs to be tuned immediately after install. Thanks for any help.

I dont think you would be able to pop the steering shaft out just dropping that side. You should be fine to drive for a day with it untuned, do not go wot tho.

you can pop it out if you drop it too far, but youd need to drop it down farther than you need.

Yup. NO farther than just to get the cam out, any farther than that and it's gonna be close.

Thanks guys. I feel more confident trying this with feedback from 4 of the members here that I have learned to respect what they say. I appreciate the feedback and will post an update after I get it ordered and installed.
