So I replaced my thermostat the other day because of overheating. After i flushed my coolant (professionally done). I noticed a small deposit of coolant a while ago but never thought anything of it. It drove fine for about a week but today it got to red again. I had to turn on my a/c to get the fans on but it stayed hot. I decided to bleed my system today and it bled for 20min, never came out just coolant. The fans came on when they were supposed to, and stayed on. Temp stayed normal so I gave it some gas every couple of min, it got to quarter to hot. Retightened my bleeding screw (coolants topped off btw) and i noticed this deposit. I havent replaced my coolant elbow (97 only have 1 replaceable correct?) so Im thinking this is it? Or maybe this is the one that isnt supposed to be replaceable. Id like to get this fixed asap because im afraid to drive long distances and Id like the option. When it overheated today I had been driving around for 10min all within 2 miles of my house, Im not a leadfoot at all. At least not right now because the car isnt insured. Thanks!

Ive been reading more overheating problems and today it has been putting out a little white smoke, i seem to be the only car on the road with it. It does it even when temp is normal, so am i looking at a lower or upper intake manifold or a new headgasket?

i replaced the coolant elbow pictured and the o ring on the metal elbow, no more leak. Still over heating, rebled the system. Im going to get a new cts tomorrow, i hope that will fix it. Are water pumps a common issue or should I just go straight for the lim gaskets?
