I'm installing headers in a few days and I think I'm going to have problems with a cross threaded bolt. I'm just going to drill the treads out and install a longer bolt with a nut on it. I'm wondering what size the bolts are that bolt the downpipe to the catback.

thanks for the responses. So my next question would be do I drill out the f'ed threads and install a bolt with a nut in it's place or do I just use a smaller diameter bolt to clear the threads and install a nut with a stack of washers?

It just looked like two massive holes you stick bolts in to hold them together to me...

Oh its threaded, when I took mine off I didnt use any PB Blaster and it took us close to 30 minutes to finally break those damn things loose.

The head on the nut is 13mm, but the stud is 10mm which is what you want to know when drilling out and replacing.
