    Guy is selling a L67 engine from 2001 with what he says is a lower end knock.. Im looking to top swap do you think the heads and all would be ok? He is only asking for 150.

    Called the guy talked for a good 15 min he said he is sure of no head damage it ran just had a weird noise. So i got a top swap from a 2000 with around 100k miles on it for 150 on the way

    Good deal. Take the heads to a machine shop and have them ported and valve job.

    Keep the top swap parts?? It'll fit in a box. Its just a pair of heads/blower/Lim and all the other small crap.

    I got a machine shop if you need one though.

    I posted "need a garage for a day or so anyone wanna help?" and my basketball bud whos got a 87 GN said i could use his so im getting it tomorrow and Blue thats exactly what I am doing except taking the whole thing

    awesome deal!...i got ****ed on my top swap. 750 for heads, lim, and blower with a bad coupler and a bent pulley. i didnt know any better....

    Ha ive been on here for a while now and just waiting for something nice to come up.. I need a wire harness tho I think cause he said the one he got when he got his new engine wall all torn up so he used his old one. Anyone selling a wire harness?

    you dont need the wire harness, you need a pigtail for the map sensor. gimme 5 bucks and ill send you mine.

    So I don't need a wire harness. He is just giving me the engine with all the sensors. I know ill need a tune and I can get that done and I know ill need gaskets and oil. What else?

    a blower belt, head bolts, rocker bolts if you dont feel like re using the stockers..thats basically it.

    wiring you just need the map pigtail, let the bbv operate with vacuum only, grab some tr6 plugs also while your getting your gaskets.

    pfft. TR6's are way too cold.

    Stick with AL104's...those should be good for a TS'd car

    Ok so i dont have that much left to gather. I won't be putting this all on my car for a while though because the parents. Just gonna get everything cleaned and ported and powder coated or polished. So i have time to gather everything. Just waiting for the guy to get off work.

    What? I was thinking that TR6s are 1.5 ranges colder than stock and AL104s are 2 ranges colder. Was I misinformed?

    So this is what more I need:
    Gaskets
    Oil
    Belts
    MAP Pigtail
    Head Bolts
    AL104's

    More stuff probably but I don't know what so anyone who wants to add help me out
    Now when you say rocker bolts fish can you explain more why I would or wouldn't need them?

    they are torque to yield. technically you should replace them. i never did and never had an issue.
