I bought a used blower with a 3.4 MPS pressed on, fresh oil, and a new BBV so the guy says anyway..i bolt it on last thursday, everything goes fine, and after i fix all the vacuum leaks the car runs fine at idle, WOT and everything else. Get in it today and start to drive and the trans starts acting funny. It would hold 1st gear until like 4-5k under like 1/4 throttle, shift hard into 2nd, 3rd and 4th. If i gave it any more than 1/4 throttle under 60 km/h it would downshift to first gear and hold it until redline and shift to second HARD. While it was doing all of this i notice the DIC boost gauge is always showing boost like 1-2 bars (i need a real gauge..anyone selling one?) even at idle EDIT-the thing was showing boost even without the engine running, just key on. Any throttle input at all and the gauge would go up.

So im like and pull over..pop the hood and push the little BBV pushrod up and down a few times, wiggle the vacuum lines a bit, honestly didn't think it would do anything.

Get back in the car, start driving..car drives fine, tranny shifts fine but now the boost gauge now does not light up at all, even WOT. S/C is definitely working, the car is as fast as the day i put the pulley on.

Also under the snout there is a bit of S/C oil coming from somewhere. Bad snout seal?

Bad seal...yes. Sounds like a vacuum leak...definetly on the LIM...around to the FPR to the BBV...then back to the MAP...check it. I bet one is rotten or busted somewhere...I had the same issues and that was it.
