forged pistons wont help if an engine throws the rod.
and everyone, i can pull this motor out in 37 MINUTES!

yea i have absolutely no idea anymore as to what keeps happening. i had a 97 motor that spun the #6 rod bearing. my last 98 motor with a complete rebuild spun #3 and #4 rod bearings, and this motor ca-chunked #2 completely.
anyone know what order the rods get oiled?
well i hope u can get another 3800 new shortblock and be done with it hope u can stay on the 3800 scene
i still cant ****ing decide what i wanna do...
im done with THIS particular car, a stock motor is going back in and im calling it quits and sellng it. but my friends girlfriend has an 01 gtp with 117k miles, i drove it for an hour tonight and fell in love with the leather and HUD and everything my car doesnt have. i offered her 2500 for since the dealership was only giving her like 2200 trade in for it, so we'll see how that goes. i kept telling myself i wasnt going to go with a low compression bottom end but it seems like high boost and high timing will make a stronger car than the higher compression will. we will see.
good luck with that, i agree on a new GP. and 37 minutes is awesome!
ehhh, she just picked her car back up...i heard a noise so i asked her to pop the hood and it sounded like the coupler was clacking on the blower. i know its a simple fix, but its an opportunity for me to talk her down, because if she takes it to the stealership to ask them about it, they are going to tell her it needs a new supercharger. muahaha. if this deal goes through, the car will stay completely stock while im in college.
you say that now, until you wanna go faster haha, im afraid it happenes to the best of us
^^Right...I like having 4 wheels and windows
...and i like being alive
kfish, where do u go to school?
