Speeddaddy's have I believe four slip fit connections. More unforseen problems with getting them to seal. Sometimes need rtv, seems silly to put rtv on headers if you ask me.

    ZZP's headers have 1 connection!

So you paid $130 more for the exact same headers?

Be our guest and pay a grand for headers that make your catback all sideways and sh1t because they welded the DP to catback flange at an off angle. The SSAC's are exactly the same as the Speed Daddy headers...there are no more "extra" clamps or anything either. And if you don't put RTV on headers then you are not taking the precautions to eliminate the leaks to begin with. I RTV anything exhaust related even with the gasket just to make sure it doesn't leak.

Local exhaust shop is welding 3 inch pipe with 3 inch resonator down to 2.5 at oem muffler flange to stock mufflers. IMO gtp's sound like azz with a catback. Not the sound for me, I want no raspy sound, that's why I opted for the resonator. I'm sure it will be cake for the shop to make 1 small angle to the catback flange of DP. They've done probably 5 custom setups for me, some way more complicated than this.

ZZP headers aren't a grand either they're 840 with catless DP. Also have a friend that has a 2001 gtp that has the setup I'll be running, it's quiet and sounds good all the way to 6000rpms.

I just got my Speed Daddy headers yesterday and put them on. They are exactly the same as the slp/ssac headers, just cheaper. I have yet to put them on, but i have a junk set of SSAC's and from what i can tell they are exactly the same.

setting the header debate aside because i have my opinions and you can't even buy the good sets of headers anymore...

why the **** do you want a cutout? are you serious? have you ever run your car straight off the downpipe? no only is it painfully loud, but it sounds HORRIBLE. if i heard that cutout i'd assume your downpipe was broken and you had an exhaust leak. LEAVE IT ALONE.

No, what you said makes no sense. Do not straight pipe a 3800 car.

And once you do that your going to kick yourself in the nuts for deleting the resonator.

I myself like the way the gp/gtps sound with oem mufflers. I'm deciding on header mfg myself. Then going with a new 24 inch resonator and new piping back to oem mufflers and that will be it for flow mods for me.

What doesn't make sense about what I said? Makes sense to me.

Why not straight pipe a 3800, I did and am happy with it.
