Hey guys. I'm running the SS M90 kit on my 2001 GT. I originally had an Intense PCM, and it wasn't too bad, but my fuel gauge wasn't reading properly and I was getting some knock retard. I decided to get another PCM which was tuned for all my mods, and for the L67 throttle body (instead of my L36 one). I put them in today, and my car started misfiring on several different cylinders. I also got a P0300 random/multiple misfire code. I'm wondering how this could happen?

****. Getting this thing tuned properly is a nightmare. I wish the mail-in tunes would at least give me a decent starting point because I don't want to spend $600 on a custom dyno tune until all my mods are done.

Bro, you make me hate this site. Tell me why everytime I click on a thread you're in it being a d*ck or a smartazz? You've got to be the co*kiest person I've never met. Everyone understands you have an engineering degree and you're a smart guy. You're no better than anyone else in the world. Can you relax on the worthless comments towards everyone. Not everyone has the experience in GP's as you do. People come here to learn, not be bashed on. You're what 23 years old? You act more immature than my 9 year old son!

Chill dude, he's just giving advice. Half the time when someone posts a problem with their car on here he's the one to solve it. He doesn't even have a grand prix anymore and he's still on here fixin everyone's ****. They're not worthless comments, they're the truth. What are you looking for? "Well hello there sir, beautiful day we're having, it appears your tune file may not be optimum."??

here, let me make my answer more wordy for you.

the mail order tune you got for the mods that you wanted to add onto your setup isn't good enough. you need someone to play with your tune in person, whether it be a dyno or a street tune. the random misfiring can be anything from your ignition system being faulty to running rich/lean. because it only started misfiring AFTER your parts swap then i would point towards the tune. also, to add to this, random misfires at idle really wouldn't cause the car to run funny other than idle. it's quite possible that your fuel tables were tweaked in the wrong direction.

although, that was all summed up in my previous post.

I bet the TB gasket was put on backwards. Its a very common issue and leads to pretty good sized misfires.

I tried the PCM with both my stock L36 TB and the L67 TB. Same exact issue, so I've ruled out the TB as the problem.

When i read this, I immediately thought of a vac leak at the tb gasket. Learned that one from experience.
