sounds legit. like i said, i don't have any experience with intercooling. i imagine it would help, but are your boost levels ok? it almost sounds like something's dirty or clogged, or like a vacuum leak somewhere.

or maybe like a fluke tune? i've heard a few stories about something just getting programmed wrong. kind of a longshot

Funny that you mention the tune, I had the DHP re-tuned/tweaked by an independent certified tuner for $120.00 and support for 6months (which ended) and come to find out that it never got ve tuned. I have been trying to get in touch with Will Overkill to get his tuning expertise involved, but I am not getting any luck contacting him via email. Until then with his much sought after type tune we shall see how my ride stacks up against the rest.....

you do not need a ve tune, unless you plan on running the car with out a maf.

but are your boost levels ok?

    Boost gauge shows 10.5 lbs.
As far as vacuum leaks I fixed those last year damn tee under supercharger snout was deterioated but I ran like that for about 3 months not realizing it was bad. Maybe something reacted to that period of time ie. high fuel pressure, low map vacuum, due to the vacuum source not being there. I also did the intake gaskets and changed them to the updated aluminum type, so I know I'm covered there.

One thing though that as soon I got the LIM gaskets out in,the car was immediately crazy fast then after about two months it became slow when hot has stayed like that up to now. The only thing that I changed at that time was the injectors with stock flow-matched zzp reman'd injectors. Dont know if one is leaking or not flowing right but I had the car retuned/tweaked to take care of the KR which is now gone. So I dont know maybe the reman'd injectors went sour, but I have no codes just slowness when hot. It has to be either the tune or I need an intercooler to cool it done some to get the benefit out of the retune.

    2) it creates a restriction in the system, although very marginal.

however, for someone willing to drop the dime and make sure they have the correct failsafes in place (IE, interconnecting your pump with the BBV so if it dies then then BBV dumps boost and you dont murder your motor) then it is probably the best bang for your buck out there next to a cam.
got my attention, how could i do this?

that does sound kinda weird. it really seems like your getting just a little bit of knock. from what i've read, most people's boost level stays around 7-8 pounds and it shouldn't get higher if the mods support the pulley drop. i wouldn't go with an intercooler yet unless you can afford it lol. when you got it tuned, did you have all of your supporting mods? like if you didn't have the plugs or thermo then, it might not have been tuned for it and not working right.

these cars tend to run best with 11-13 pounds of boost.

well then maybe it's not enough boost? meaning vacuum leak right?

All my mods were the same and have stayed the same. that is whats buggin me and I thought I'd get someone else's view on what they've encountered on our cars or similar situation/past experience.

idk man, i have yet to play with anything boosted but the top swap is in the works. just tryin to help you troubleshoot. it really just sounds to me like something's dirty/broken/needs to be replaced, you have pretty much everything you need to support the pulley

**** I get 9.5 psi with my mods, before headers when I had a plog/ dp I was getting 11.5 psi. So pretty much it's not THAT atypical.
