hi ive been searching for problems like mine but not really coming up with anything. from reading others could be clogged cat but just wanna get some input with what my car is doing exactly. the car has about 156xxx miles and its just less powerful at all points of throttle. every once in awhile it will still burn the tires but its just not how it was before. its a 98 gtp and it once had super lag when id floor it and i changed two wires that went bad and it was just like brand new again. well yesterday i changed all the plugs and the wires...still sluggish..could be the beginning signs of clogged cat possibly? just from what others problems were mine is not cutting out on power like when i had to change the wires before.. its just less powerful yet it sounds like its trying so hard haha. oil is good, might be that i put a fram filter in the k&n box....didnt know you clean off old k&n filters with the recharger kit til after i bought the fram. so that could maybe be it....but im really doubting it that itd affect it that greatly.

a clogged cat would feel like its bogging out and it would be hard to gain momentum. the car would also potentially misfire pretty badly.

ok yeah not really that then, im not sure, its just when i get on it, it just doesnt like take off how it used to, its just slower, but no bogging down or cutting off. no engine light. low coolant light comes on all the time even when completely full. engine light came on one day that ive ever owned it(owned for year) but it went off so i just never did anything with it and that was a couple months ago. just been running like this for about a month or so

Thanks guys and I guess here are a couple things I've noticed. It will heat up quick if I get on it for like 2 second then I let off and the temp gauge just climbs up to 210? Whatever halfway is but never goes over that. Its just odd to me because my car never gets that hot it normally never goes past the 190 mark. that cpuld be because of the wires and plugs because I've never noticed it do that before. Only time itd start to go up to 210 is when topping it out. And also there is a noise comin whenever the car is moving. Not sure if that has anything to so with it either but it started about a week ago and getting worse. No vibrating or anything just a noise gettin louder and still makes the noise when rolling in neutral so could just be some rubbing or something. But that's all I can let you know at the moment. Wires were the moroso 40s and plugs were autolite 605
