Having a oil pressure gauge is nice, and what your gauges reads maybe different from another's from what I have seen first hand and learned.

The pressure sending unit may not be bad, just "different" with different gauge kits. Your not getting a 100% accurate reading because its usually not a very nice quality sending unit. It gives you an eye ball window look at what it is, not spot on.

So with that, any kit you buy and install is fine, and what it reads is fine, just remember what it says cold, and warm, and if that changes, such as goes lower than normal, then thats your heads up you have a problem before you trash your engine.

I have a carbon fiber Auto Meter oil pressure set, and on the stock engine it was installed on it always read 60 PSI regardless of cold or warm, it never dropped. When I built my current engine from the block up, I reused the sending unit, and now it changes from cold to warm like some others on there report. Maybe I jarred something loose with the R&R of the sender to where it reads different, dont know. It was odd in deed.
