I have a ZZP VS cam setup on my 97 gtp. It's strong and works great, but I see 2 degrees of KR up top every now and then that I wanna get rid of. I know that rockers help reduce KR and they start to kick in once you approach the higher revs. I am pondering a good set of 1.6 or 1.7's. Will I see a drop in KR up top with some slightly higher ratio rockers. I dont have a ported or bigger throttle body. Maybe that will help out more than the rockers? I also need an Idea of the power I might gain.

I think my mods are in my signature, but its XS headers, vs cam, no res, Open Cone intake, 3.3 pulley 104's and 180 t stat tune ect.

    VS cam build 13.01@107 316whp/ XP build #1 12.78@110 334whp/ XP build #2 12.56@113 347whp
IS3 Cam build (Ready to put out some serious numbers)

i think rockers will take care of that KR, but it is a large amount of money to drop to not gain that much. i think youd be better off porting your blower and throttle body.

port the outlet of your blower.

If you port your TB you'll need a retune.

Get 1.7 RR's. Should help a little with the top end.

But porting your blower outlet is the first thing I'd try since its the cheapest and effective.

thats what i was going to say, im sure it could be tuned out.

i would throw an ls1 tb on there and open up the incoming air, or atleast port your stocker.

I say put a bigger pulley on it, re-tune, and up the timing.

I tuned it out. I just dumped a little more fuel. It was running a little lean. Btw. I did port the blower outlet.

Lol I didn't physically do it. I had it done by someone that knows these cars inside and out.
