I have a friend who wants to drop pulley size on his car down to a 3.5. he wants to know which spark plugs to use. I think he would like to stay away from Autolites. Right now he has no mods. He just wants to drop the pulley size.

Thanks for answering my question! What I am asking is 1 heat range colder or 2. That is all I want to know.

It will probably end up getting tuned if it has alot of KR (which he is expecting).

You need supporting mods to drop a pulley...why is that so hard to understand? Like said above...have fun blowing it up or knocking like a mofo and bending plugs with chipped pistons. Also, these boosted motors LOVE copper core plugs...so you and your friend obviously have done your research..

Can you not give a straight forward answer? Are autolites the ONLY plugs that will be good enough?

Can you NOT drop a pulley and keep the car safe? Why does everyone think that the pulley is the best mod when it clearly isn't. How about this thread for a clear answer. READ IT AND THE LINKS ATTACHED IN IT.

Great. So they will tune out the KR and a stock GTP will beat his ass. This makes perfect sense.

If you don't like autolites get ngk TR6's. You're really going to need more than a tune to be safe and without kr. I gaurantee you will have kr no matter what tune you run and you will most likely chip all front 3 pistons. For the sake of the owners motor, open up your exhaust before you drop pulley's and mess with plugs. At least a powerlog and dp if not headers. I have headers, a cai, colder plugs an a tune and I see sometimes between 2-3* of kr on a 3.6 on my 04. Granted that's like running a 3.4 on any pre 93 car
