I just changed the coupler and the oil in my supercharger, and after a little while I noticed that there was a slow leak below the nose of it. I had sealed the supercharger with the sealant I got in the kit the coupler came with (from ZZ Performance). After closing the SC back up, I waited a day before filling the supercharger with oil. After finding the leak, I cleaned it and waited to see if it would leak some more, and sure enough it came out of the bottom of the supercharger again. I ran the engine and even revved it to see if it leaked more, and it did, but less and less each time. Here's the thing: It's been a day and it has since stopped leaking. There is still oil in the supercharger, maybe 4/5ths of it, and it runs fine. It hasn't leaked since. Why was it leaking? Did I put too much oil in? I put in two bottles of 4 ounces GM supercharger oil. Should I have put in 1 1/2 instead?
Also, the supercharger was maxing at 3 PSI before changing the coupler, but after the change it has only gotten to 5 psi. What could it be? Just to note, the upper radiator hose looks like it is collapsing/flattening. Would that have anything to do with it?
Thanks in advance!![]()
