stripped snout threads, no pulley on right now!!

Its a m8 x 1.25 tap just for your information.

ahh, perfect, thanks for that! ...now I just have to find one....


I was thinkin about using a spare old belt and some vice grips to hold the snout in place.

It appears that perhaps only the first thread is damaged, so I should be good there.

The puller bolt is trash though. I'm ordering the new set now.


It looks like it'll be about a weeks wait to get the pulley on, which is also about 5-600 miles of driving. If it were you, would you drive it without the pulley, or would you take a 2x4 and smack it on with a rubber mallet?
