yall must have some ****ty personaly lifes to come on a grand prix forum and bash people and talk about money.

headers is a wise moding decision and they will probably come with everything needed exhaust wise to go from the heads back to the resinator. (manifolds and downpipe)

kind of a noob question but will give it a try: any point in buying speed daddy headers for a GT?

If you top swap or get a nice set of heads with a matching cam.

i dought you will have draw back from headers, it will move the powerband up tho, as well as the torque curve will come in later.

considering how cheap headers are getting, i would probably get some over a downpipe/plog set up.

headers has alot better flowing primaries than manifolds. a manifold, even ported can not compare to the flow of headers, even a plog can not compare.

but with a plog/downpipe set up, you will maintain that lower end torque curve and it should be able to breath enough for that n/a set up. but like said, how cheap headers are, i dont know if i could pass it up.

    here is a comparison.
    header

    powerlog

    stock manifold

you can see in the design which ones are gonna flow better than others.

So did you cancel the order on the Plugs and Coils Spartan GL ? If not try to. Because they are a huge waste of money on our cars. Spend that saved cash on an rockers or acam.

you dont need low end torque. these cars have enough of it, even as a GT.

it seems with a gt(3:29 gears) a slight loss in low in torque won't be missed. go headers and leave the rest alone for now. mufflers are fine, but if u want performance, hence ur shopping list, buy rocker or hv3 insert. more gt dudes can chime in...

a friend with a GT and 3" downpipe (when i was still n/a) and i raced (i was stock minus an intake) and we were dead even. youre only going to move the powerband higher with headers or any type of valvetrain work. its for the best with the gearing the non-HD trans comes with. this is also why i will never buy an HD trans ever again. the non HD is just as strong and it comes with the gearing youd normally 'upgrade' to when you start with a GTP/GS/SS/etc.
