Google Copper rtv, its made specific for engine exhausts, good for -80degreesF and +700degreesF (from what I can remember). Soo im going to guess it's good stuff, maybe give it a couple hours to dry, but Im sure that info will be on the package.
just came in from outside working on it and i cant get the rear header on all the **** on top of the engine is in the way so i move it and now with the engine rocked as for forward as i can get it without breaking anything i am stuck on the heads. I cannot get past them. I missed half the super bowl now and am so annoyed with this ... any ideas people?
do you have the front header on? if so take that **** off and pull the motor forward more.
have someone underneath helping pull it down. there are same brake and power sterring lines they need to clear.
take the trans dipstick out too.
I have the front header off i am past the brake and power steering lines, ill try pulling the trans dipstick, and having some one push while i pull and see where it gets me. thanks for the response.
You don't have to take the rear cover off to do this. Just pull the tranny dipstick and it slides right in.
Ah, finally got time to finish my headers i got everything on and did not have to take off my rear valve cover I did pull my trans dip stick though. I did a quick fire up and I got 2 leaks but I gotta let the rtv dry up and I am beat anyway. So this weekend I will fix my leaks and I will finally be done.![]()
nice
