Well after troubleshooting every little thing trying to figure out why my gas mileage blows and my idle is so rough, and the performance has been lacking a bit too, the car finally threw a code a couple days ago for a bad catalyst. All these things are symptoms of a clogged cat right? Maybe the thing will finally run normal again. I'm thinking about picking up the magnaflow high-flow cat from ZZP, cuz it's actually cheaper than the oem replacement from rockauto, and a friend is giving me his 3" DP. Hopefully that'll clear up these issues, and probably kill some KR too.

what the code? could be bad 02 sensor... if a friend is giving u a 3" dp unless its catless... why would u need another cat?

Yeah it's catless but I want a cat. It threw a code for catalyst not functioning optimally. Don't remember the exact code.

Why didn't you post asking for help with this problem ahead of time, that's a very obvious problem and would of saved you a lot of time and trouble diagnosing it.

I did, many times. But there were alot of other things that are fixed now could have been causing the problem, so it was hard for anyone to put their finger on just the cat. EXCEPT I'm pretty sure I remember BIO months ago said "I bet months from now when your done fixing all this crap you're just going to have a clogged cat, and then I'm going to laugh at you". Guess who was right But whatever, all the other things needed to be fixed at some point anyway so I don't mind.

All I have to say in reply to this is Bio wins, rest of the forum fails. Exclude me because I didn't see the previous threads.

IMO...just take the cat out...beat all the crap out of it and have it welded into the 3" DP your getting...or just run it catless...and find someone to inspect it for you when the time comes.

Yeah seriously dude, these people have been helping diagnose this forever. And thanks to them there were a TON of issues that I didn't even know were there that got fixed, that would've eventually caused some major problems in the future. Thanks to everyone on this forum that's been helping me out, especially blue and bio. After this I just need a new coolant overflow tank cuzmine's cracked and hopefully I'll be good.
