swwweeet, so i found in intake piece i had left over from my 98 camaro ss. its an according style about 4in long, about 4in on one end and 3.5 on the other. hooked that on the tbody and the 3in filter fit in the 3.5in side. soo much better. i can actually hear the blower now.

Ok so I've got the Ubend delete in place, the 180tstat and the cold air intake, the engine is running fairly cooler now and better I think. Should I be switching to cooler spark plugs now or is it too soon? I know that those would lower the KR with enough mods, but I don't know if those could actually have a negative effect without the right mods in place.

oh btw op i seem to have picked up some mpg too if i dont hammer on it. this is solely going off the dic though which im not sure is accurate. oh and my old filter was caked in dirt, so probably not a good test anyhow.

Keep the stock heat range plug until you drop a pulley size. You always want the hottest spark possible...so get some Autolite 605's.

Thanks Blue I don't know where would I be without your advice guys haha. With those few mods I can notice difference on the performance already I've been smoking fart cans and other stuff all week haha. I'm renaming the perf shift button to "humiliation mode" once I drop pulley size.

Before I mess up my next mod (3" DP), I'd like to avoid starting the "Fail Down Pipe vX" series, so I'll ask for advice in advance. I'm planning to get one done at the shop with 3" tube from the collector to the CAT inlet. Basically following the stock shape of the tube, I assume the purpose of this mod is putting in a thicker width and not changing the shape of it right?

Also, should I also consider changing the stock CAT for a high flow one? I'm only planning on dropping to 3.4" pulley.

'performance shift' does nothing if you tune your transmission to always have higher line pressure and shift points.

Yeah I'm not sure if the PCM tune will eliminate the use of that button. I guess it depends on the tune company, but I won't be doing it myself for now, that's for sure, I don't have enough knowledge to change that without messing it up.

I normally drive with the perf shift off. how about you?

yea i think an aftermarked down pipe follows the same shape as the stock downpipe. pretty much you wanna make it 3in from the rear manifold where it bolts up, all the way to the resinator.

not when it comes to the ubend area, you want that straight with the o2 off the side instead of up.

yeah hehe. I already did the Ubend a few days back, but it's 2.5" I did it that way since the resonator inlet was 2.5". The part that I will do now is only from the manifold to the CAT inlet, that one will be 3" for sure.
