I got my plog and stainless 3" catless dp put on yesterday. Car isnt much louder at all (thank god). The only problem is I can't tell if it made much of a power difference. I tried accellerating from a dig. just wheelspin, then of course my abs light was on so i can't turn off the traction control. Tried accelerating from a 20mph roll. same thing. wheelspin and traction control. I then took the car to 50mph, dropped it in to 2nd and floored it. again wheelspin! haha, kidding. took the car from 50-80 or so. It feels like it has a little more top end where as before, it was just all low end torque. After my car sits all night, the abs light is off when i first get in the car. Once the car warms up, it comes on. S****y thing is it's f'n snowing now, so no chance today to get a good idea. Anyways, the parts are on the car, and I'm happy its not much louder. I took the res off my regal and it was loud as hell. Too bad V6's sound like crap. Just thought I'd share this mostly useless information.

unhook the battery for 20mins and let the fuel trims reset if you havent. after they settle in im sure it will be a little faster.

thats kinda weird about the abs, when mine goes out so does my traction controll. check the wiring around the wheel sensor make sure you didnt cut any of the wires or anything for the abs.

I will unhook the batter right now and see if that helps! Never thought to do that.

It is wierd, when the abs light turns on, the tcs OFF light comes on and the tcs is still on. I've tried pushing the tcs button and tried holding it down for up to even a minute. Still doesn't shut it off. So as soon as I start my car, I hit the tcs off button before the abs light kicks on, then when the abs light comes on, my tcs is still off. I wish I knew of a way to just eliminate the tcs entirely. I will hook it up to the computer at work monday so I will at least know which sensor is giving me the problem, the go from there. Thanks

Finally got the tcs turned off and the roads are dry. The car definately has more top end. Pulls harder about 4K rpms and up than it did before.

on my98 u gotta stop, hit performance shift then the tcs. i beleive the 10amp fuse in the fuse box when removed, it'll boil the tires and the abs lite will b on. i put the fuse back in tho, so i don't tear anything up. yup, the comp. needs to reset.

can't tell you if that works now. my car is dead. won't start. car sat all day today. got in it and it just cranks. when i turn the key to the on position, i don't hear the fuel pump. always somethin. my fuel pump was kinda noisey ever since i got the car, so i'm guessing that is the problem. oh well. time to fix that. THANKS GM! lol

After I got my plog installed i didn't see any immediate improvements either. it wasn't till about a week later when I could tell that my car was accelerating a lot smoother and i gained a little bit of power. I don't know if the car took a little bit to adjust for it or what.

@joel... when the abs light comes on and the traction control light activates without you spinning tires or anything, im pretty sure that means a bad wheel bearing. and if you guys puttin plogs on, when i out mine on, the amount of boost i had dropped 2 lbs and it took away all of the knock i was getting stock. it definitely helps. but like rus said, it has to relearn the fueltrims before complete gains are felt.

when ever flow is changed up its a good idea to reset fuel trims. once fuel trims are settled in they can adjust some, but to what extent i dont know. its better to just go ahead and reset them and let them settle in to the new mods. the 04+ guys fuel trims take longer to settle in, ive heard a few days. the older 03- guys does not take as long, ive heard up to an hour of driving.

when i put my headers on i dident feel a the full diffrence for about a week either.

performance shift is on the underside of the gear shifter. some cars did not come equiped with it. i think its 98-02 models. not sure.

hey jersey, mine 1998 gtp, has a per. shift button on the side of the gear shifter. easily activated with ur thumb. i may be wrong, someone chime in, they didn't do that after 2000????? sometime around there i think. shifts harder when activated.

ive never noticed them backing out. had them on over a year now sure i would have noticed something by now. put some thread lock on it if your that worried about it.

your biggest problem is going to be getting the Y pipe to seal. the clamps that came from pacesetter SUCK! get one like this and put a little rtv on it to make sure it seals up good.
    http://www.paraballistic.com/images/...bc30_small.jpg
you will also need those clamps for strenth to hold the exhaust together. the first time i steped on it my Y pipe flew off from flexing from torque and the pacesetter clamps were not big enought to hold it on. those clamps that i showed will work good.

if you didnt bolt it all up, run the car, and then tighten up the bolts again its possible that they will work there way out because of the heat cycle. you need to tighten them after you get them heated up and moving for a while.

$$ was my issue right now. I've only got $150 in both shipping included. I figure later on I can just sell them and shell another 200 or so and have the headers. Gotta keep from investing too much in this car until I know for sure its a good car. As of right now, I'm thinking its better that I didn't pay for headers. Just spent $100 on a fuel pump, $75 on headlights, and about $1500 on misc stuff.

    WELDEDEDEDDDDEDEDEDDEDDED.

Is the only way to go with pacecrappers.

If they're leaking then your not sealing them well enough.
