It doesn't affect 04-05 Impalas/Montes with the L67 either. Note how it doesn't affect any Series III engines either. The Series II engines (L67 and L36) from 04 and 05 are more Series III than they are Series II. A 04/05 Series II has Series III block, bottom end, heads, LIM, and valve train. It has Series II UIM/SC, TB, fuel rail, and electronics. That's why we refer to them as hybrids. The GP community isn't too familiar with them, but other cars that still used Series II engines in 04 and 05 love the hybrids since it's the best of both worlds.
