I just installed some mods on my 02 GTP. It has a k and n cold air intake, zzp wires, TB Spacer, 3 in DP, 180tstat, borla cat back and a OVERKILL tuned PCM. I also installed auto meter gauges and the air fuel ratio is running yellow (stoich) to red (LEAN) constantly. Since I'm new at this I just wanted to see if that is normal and if not what can I do to fix this?

you bought a lot of uesless parts, not to hate. the narrowband sensor you installed really doesnt tell you too much about how your car is running, you need a true wideband AFR gauge to tell you anything that means anything.

Whats useless, I did most of my research for parts on the ZZP website because I am planning on installing a powerlog then a 3.4 pulley.

useless parts: ZZP wires, TP spacer, borla catback

not so usless, but way overpriced: K&N intake

the things that you did a good job buying: 3" downpipe and overkill PCM

lol I see, well I bought the car with the intake and cat back so I guess I lucked out there on that one, thanks for the input though, you think the engine would be able to handle the 3.4 wit the supporting mods plus a PLOG?

PLOG...easy. You need to read my thread in the general tech section about modding your car safely...ZZP's site is epica fail compared to my thread that I typed up.

To get a signature...you go to the USERCP on the top left when you first log in...from there go to "edit sig"

I did read some of that in fact i remember talking to you on a thread about the 3.4 pulley and how to wait and make sure you have headers or a PLOG with supporting mods before you do that and thats definetly what I'm gonna do. I just wanna make sure the mods I put in and will be putting in are safe so nothing blows up, I just installed the same headlights are you have too there sweet as hell had trouble with the HID box but the halos are awesome

    That's because I don't have HID's...just regular bulbs.

And any exhaust mod isn't going to mess anything up...if anything it will only help you more.

sorry to ask so many questions but I'm just curious the parts that i mentioned got installed yesterday and the engine is giving off a smell almost like a burning anti freeze or oil on a hot valve cover smell but nothing is leaking could that be from just running to learn with the new mods?

youd never be able to smell anything to do with the fueling system unless it was leaking. either coolant or oil is burning somewhere.

thanks bio ive been looking through some threads about the air fuel ration bouncing everywhere and a couple people said switching from a narrowband to a wideband would that be able to actually help me read my air fuel ration correctly instead of watching it bounce from stoich to lean constantly
