i have a 3" fwi rite now on my car. would it be better 2 have a 4" intake with a big @$$ filter on it instead not in the fender well? so basicly is it better 2 have a 3" fwi or a huge 4" under the hood?

4 inch setup with bigger filter is better because of less resistance and restriction. 3 inch FWI is better for idling in traffic because its sucking it cooler air, but other than that not really better.

so i guess i need to go with the 4" then. i mite just build 1 2 go in the fender as well. but i think i'll gain more with just a 4" pipe and a huge filter under the hood.

I went from a 3.5" FWI to a K&N on the TB and didn't notice much of a change other than the blower was a little louder. Still 0* KR on a 3.4 and stock tune.

plog, 3" catless DP, AL 104s, ported blower, 3.4 press on, shift kit, 180* thermo. I will get KR if my temps go above ~200, I have a switch for the fans if I get stuck in traffic to keep them at 180. Even when I did get KR it was only 1*-1.5*.

I also have a IAT from Green Bastard which may help out some.
