ok im having an awful time with my 98 gtp. i have a nasty squeal when the car is running and i cant figure out what it is! i replaced the coupler in the supercharger and that didnt work. i looked at the belt it looks good still tried belt dressing that didnt work. when i take the belt off of the supercharger it makes no noise. put belt back on it sounds awful! please help me could it be bearings in the supercharger? i replaced the supercharger idler pulley to. i have no idea what it can be and it sounds awful so for now im driving the car with the belt off of the supercharger

check the belt tensioner and your other pulleys that r run by that belt. also just cause u sprayed belt dressing on it doesnt mean its gonna stop the squeal, belt might just b that bad. ive had plenty of cars where belt dressing did nothing, sometimes the squeal got even louder.

make the title of your thread more specific and maybe more people will step in and post. you cant just be like "OMG SOMETHING IS BROKE!".

also, you only needed to make one post, why did you have to make two?

take the belt off and spin the blower. can you hear anything besides a little tiny noise (thats normal)? next step is to see if any of the idlers are going out.

ya i replaced one of the idlers so maybe its the other idk.....i can drive the car with the belt off of the supercharger and i get no noises at all! so its gota be something with either the belt or pulleys? it couldnt be the supercharger itself could it or could bearings or something be bad when the belt spins it? idk tho it dont seem like the blower sounds like a damn belt but the belt looks fine....
