i have a 2000 gtp with the basic 3.4 setup. it has a plog, rear pem, 3 inch catted dp, wiz cai, zzp pcm, al104's, 180 thermo. i have headers and rockers i wanna install but i have a problem in the higher rpms. if i go wot on the car it will pull hard all the way til 5800 rpm, and then it pulls back, hesitates and will not go up any higher in rpms unless i let off the throttle, kinda like its lean...same way from 1-2 to 2-3... it happens 5800 rpm in first and 5600 rpm in second. also i notice if it does go past 5800 rpms in first its usually cold. i also have raised shift points to 6300 rpm, but it will ONLY go to 6000 rpms tops. i bought new wires, and plugs(twice) new fuel filter, checked all over for vaccum leaks, replaced pcv valve, cleaned maf, and air filter but it still does it. i don't know if the pump is going bad it checks good at startup and idle 50psi and 45 psi or if its this damn zzp pcm. its just weird how it only does it at those rpms, otherwise it runs like a dream. any ideas would be appreciated

Runs like a dream as far as u know. lol. if u want a good out of the mail tune, look more towards: INTENSE, DHP, Will at Overkill Performance. I myself have a ZZP PCM but am doing a whole different tune with it because i have HPTuners. If your experienced with tuning go that route. But if not look at those other companies for mail order tunes. Trust me people will definetly be chiming in after they read u have a ZZP PCM. I can already fore-see Bluegtp91 posting after he reads your post. lol and many at that. Do yourself a favor and get a different PCM and slap them rockers and headers on and call it a day. if u dont mind me askin what kind of hearders and rockers u goin with?

also zzp claims it's a fuel issue like the pump might be bad at wot(which it could be) and that their pcm has nothing to with it...i'm looking at an overkill pcm right now. heard nothing but good things from them

Haha of course ZZP would say that. U should look at gettin a scan gauge or something of that sort so u can scan for KR. Keep us posted.

I'm sorry. But I disagree to no end about telling some one to look more at a intense pcm. I wouldn't touch it if I had to. IMO any Mail order tune is about a pile of junk. But your going to hear somthing different from everyone. So when it really come's down to it. My thought's really dont mean much of anything. If you where looking for a starting point and your going to alter the base tune with your own tuning and a wide band then good deal. But that's about the only way I'd even think of picking up a reprogramed pcm.

You really need to get your car on a scanner and see what's going on. I wouldnt be shocked if it's a fueling issue one bit. Could be a fuel pump going south. I've seen a couple nice builds come apart from fuel pump's on there way out. Might be a injector taking a crap, Could be spark blow out, Coil Pack, ect, ect.. What's your fuel pressuer doing at WOT when the misses start? No point in throwing part's at the car intill you know you problem. That'd be about as smart as pissing into the wind with your mouth open.

i do have an aeroforce gauge, but everything is fine according to it...tonight i smell exhaust so i went to feel around the downpipe, and got the **** shocked out of me, so i replaced all the wires again with another new set i bought, yet it still does it i don't know if it was from a spark plug wire or what but i did the visual look in the dark and couldn't see any sparks flying. i gonna go take it to a buddy of mine and see if he can find the issue.

HA!! ZZP High flow fuel filter is the same thing as a stock one...it does nothing.

Second...ZZP's tunes blow epic ass. Only mail order tune I would honestly even consider buying is a tried and true DHP PCM. Get one from 3800performance
