Yesterday when i got off work and began my trek home i put the heater on due to it being 41 degrees outside. The whole ride home of 15 mins it blew cold on the left and hot on the right with the heater set at 90*. What gives??? is there some vacume door under the dash not working or is the HVAC Headunit in need of replacement ?

Well i've heard that there are two actuators behind the HVAC controls a left and a right and the can go bad. I can confirm this on AllDatadiy.com as well but i have no idea how to get to them and fix them. I also do not know the Part #'s.

i believe the blend doors are in the heater box under the dash. you might be better off goin to a junkyard and grabbin a used heater box. maybe a vacuum line on the climate control is broken? never seen a climate control gtp so idk if its all electric of not.

If the system is electronic climate controlled, whatever side is blowing cold, that electronic actuator is bad and must be replaced. I just had to fix my pass side, it was blowing cold. The acts are not cheap and I got a used one for $40. Somertimes you can get lucky and only the gear is missing teeth, and I suppose you could move the gear 180 deg so the motor has teeth to grab. In my case the act was dead completely.

The driver's side elec act is harder to get too if that one failed.

The system uses two electronic acuators and three vacuum actuators. The vacuum acts control the recirc, mode, defrsot doors. The elec acts control temps.

See this post on how to replace either.
