im thinking the culprit is a crappy tune, then the downpipe, then your car being the opposite of a freak.
X2 i doubt a bad fuel pump is the culprit

The car sounds like its running rich and probably is given your mods, do not trust narrowband 02 readings. Either lean the car out gradually and see if it helps or get a wideband in there and check for sure, but its going to be hard to get rid of all of the knock. The 3.4" cars without headers always seem to run rich and need to be leaned out, after doing so obviously the ipw will settle down. 7*knock with that setup seems about normal to start with. Either get a heck of tune on it or get a few more mods for a 3.4" setup.

Sounds like you may have a split corrugated pick-up hose from the pump to the line that may be bleeding off pressure. Did the pressure hold solid with the key-on test, or did it drop slowly?
