hours?? i thought a tune was he downloads stuff of his pc into the pcm and its done?? then again idk about tunes ha i wanna learn though im taking a computer automotive based class in about 3 weeks from now its a 8 week class.
but i think for fastkatt it would be easier for me since im all stock and have the original l67 block and the ratio n all that good stuff ha![]()
drive car, scan the car, make adjustments, drive car agian, scan again, make adjustments again, and so on. there is alot of things that can/need to be tweaked to run at optimal performance.
so no you dont just load it in.
joe........that is the difference between a custom tune(having someone do it) and a mail order or canned/off the shelf tune. the custom is just that, adjusting everything to fit your car with your mods and how it all reacts together. That is why if you do get a custom tune, you will need to have it adjusted or reprogrammed with every mod.
You should retune a canned tune for new mods too. Just because it is a custom tune does not mean you have to change it with new mods. It would just be the same thing as adding more mods on a canned tune.
