Is the extra bracket that goes from the alt to the blower really needed? I recently put on a ported blower and the mounting point for that bracket has nearly been ground off. I might be able to put it on, just haven't really checked it out yet.

You dont need it, have had mine off for a long time. Once you get an intercooler, you cant use it anyways.

ok, thought I didn't need it anyways. Last time I said that I didn't need a little support bracket like that one of the brackets on my old Camaro snapped.

    Ya, that's safe.

What I've tested is that on my IC setup I took a Bracket from the junkyard...bolted it to the back of the blower and measured how high the IC raises the bracket on the alt. side...then bent the end of it so it sits flat instead of crooked (hopefully you follow)...basically you just bend it...tough to do but I'd rather have it bent and still attached then nothing there at all and having my EVAP system just hanging out.

All depends on your year. The 00+ style will work if you egg the hole at the alt end. This is the round tubular bracket that slides over the front bolt.

    Gen V, 2.25" IC.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Krylon Wrinkle paint. Expect a couple good days for it to fully dry before you install.
