    got it hooked up and everything but in order to turn it on i have to unplug it and plug it back in everytime? any ideas why?

    Cause thats the way it works. in order for it to come on with the key u have to do the wiring. It tells u how in the directions I think u just run the red to a switched 12v idr right off ill go out an look at mine in a minute for ya .

    yep red goes to switched 12v an thats it. the green and red u do not hook to anything. O also in order for wiring it like that to work u have to pull the the small red jumper out of the back of the gauge

    Red is for a switched source, and you do have to remove the jumper on the back of the gauge (if I remember correctly). The other two are for the analogue inputs.
