personally I would try and re seal the EGR that you have blocked off, but I am not sure what else to tell you.......you use the 6 cent method of sealing off the egr?

I would just pull it out of the egr clean it up, and re seal it if you can. Or at the very minimum go over it again and put a full layer over the top of what you have already. If it wasnt cured all the way when you started it up, you could possibly have broken the seal on this??? IDK.....
sorry.......wish you the best of luck.....keep us posted.
personally I would try the carb cleaner trick to locate it first if you can. spray liberally in any vacuum areas starting with the EGR location......
alright i got to buy some card cleaner now i used it all on my snowmobile last winter that pos. so i can just spray it in the lines and it will be fine?
alright. ill let you know what happens tomorrow then. thanks for all of your guys help
how much should i spray in there
Just spray a cupple squirts along oll of the vacuum areas. If there is a leak you should hear the engine idle higher when you hit the vacuum leak.
well good news got the car running it was the egr leaking.
Ok now that that's solved help me! ha.
My vac is only -12 at idle. While driving a low speeds its around -9. When i hit the gas with my stock pulley it was 6.
I changed the pulley today (3.5") the only thing that changed is boost is at 8 under WOT.
Since the boost is where it should be could i assume the gauge is working correctly and my vac is less then it should be?
What i have checked...
All vac lines (boost gauge, t-fitting below MAP, t-fitting below snout, T-fitting to the fuel pressure reg, and connection to the thing in front of the bypass valve [if someone knows the name fill me in])
What should i check next?
so you want lower vac at idle or what? I know max boost is not a good thing to go by because that only tells you how much resistance that you have getting the air out of your pump(motor/exhaust) so 8 pounds just means you are getting it out well. You may have a vacuum leak and if so check as stated above. Has it been this way for a long time? do you have a way to scan for it at all times? have you changed any parts recently or done any work which may have effected this? Checked brake booster?
