There is no debate about the open cone...it is only for highly modded cars...cars with nothing done to them only get hurt by running a open cone intake...

Well...I was waiting on Bio and Blue to tell me what the false lope is im hearing! lol. I figure its like the injection catching up since it only really does it on start up. And its not really a lope sound more like a pulse. I know stock cams dont make the loping sound because the complete design keeps it from it pretty much.

the cam doesnt lope per say, but now that you have a less restrictive exhaust you get more of a pulse action that a smooth flow. the cam really doesnt sound lopey at all, even straight of the headers.

I would leave it on unless you want your car to sound like a beater.

I couldnt agree more....I loved for a week.....They put cherry bomb pro's on and cut the resonator off.....Man was it loud and raspy....When I fired her up every morning, I swear it rattled the windows in my house and the drone in the car drowned the radio at 2000-3000 rpms. After a week I had another resonator installed! Now I love it!!!

the cam is also in open lobe for a few mins when cranked.

i cant hear it much when i first crank it, but after it has warmed up and goes into closed lobed, i can hear a little something. its more distictive with the headers.

it could also be the fact that you need some new sparkplugs maybe. when mine are missing, it gives off an impression of a lope. new sparkplugs and it goes away

I really wish I new why everyone has such bad luck with the sound of the cars. Mine is not like LOUD. You can hear it when it first starts up and then you can't really hear it. Its not raspy and only brakes up when ever i rev it in park it gets cut out pretty much ANY car will! I guess I got lucky!

**** really? I'm new to the gp world and I just put a cai on today with open cone. Does it really hurt? Feels better than stock and sounds great, looks amazing too. And I don't wanna waste extra cash on a box cause my cai is custom made. And bio you know alot, what's the best exhuast mod sound wise?? And without breakin the bank
