He ain't saving much money by not going with headers. Especially with the performance/cost ratio, oh well.
I had coated Pacesetters in my garage for 6 months. I was planning on welding them into a two piece design like you did. They were brand new and never used. Only reason I sold them is because I got a hell of a deal on new ceramic coated TOGs.
