Hey there everyone. I have an 04 GTP comp G with 74k miles on it. This is a daily driver with essentially no mods outside of MSD coil packs and lower temp plugs and MSD wires. I just noticed it is starting to leak oil. I lifted the car up and looked around and it appears the oil is coming from the left side of the motor, on the bottom, near where the tranny and motor meet. I did have a 98 GTP that had valve cover issues so I was thinking that again but I do not see any oil up top anywhere. Does anyone have any ideas of what it could be? I appreciate any help! Please note that I drive about 700 miles a week and run the car pretty hard. Not sure if that says anything, but what the heck.

    Mike

    a) why are you running colder plugs without running more boost? youre supposed to run as hot of plugs as you can. stick with the stock heat range.

    b) the pan gasket might be leaking. they tend to do that after a while.

And...have fun with that if it is. They are a b*tch and a half to do with the motor and everything in the car IMO.

I was thinking it was the oil pan. Looks like I won't be trying that one myself. I appreciate the feedback!

I know what you are saying with the plugs but these actually worked better than stock plugs. Besides, the 3.4, 180 t-stat, CAI and headers will be on soon (as soon as it becomes a 2ndary vehicle in about 3k miles.)

Yeppers, its the oil pan. Not only that but it suddenly started leaking power steering fluid and coolant. Not sure why this happened at once but I will be getting rid of this car. Only 74K miles and already these problems......yikes.
