*sigh* Idk what to say about em'. The PCM ran too lean and a threw a rod & bearing etc. But, because of it I just bought a new motor. What'dyall think of ZZP PCM's?

-Anything I should do to the new motor? (Motor's from a 98' w/ 75K cost me 600$) Good deal eh?

You need a custom tune, not another basic pcm. Headers alone will make you run a bit lean. Depends on the portjob of the throttle body, but that could also alter the actual airflow reading your car is getting now.

Yeahp. Have, Pacesetter headers & a stage1 zzp throttle. As soon as I get that new motor in im getting the PCM tuned. To bad theres no legal way ZZP can be help responsible for the damages. =\

Yeah pretty much. But good luck getting any money back from them on it. I had to eventually threaten them with the Missouri Attorney General's Office before they gave me my money back...and that was after 4 or 5 (I lost track) badly tuned PCM's.

you know what... dont even get a off the shelf PCM... custom tune is the only way to go. I bought one and realized it was a waste of 100 bucks. trust me a custom tune's worth the extra money. Just find a shop that knows our cars well and is a reputable tuner

For people that don't have access to a dyno or person with a tuner...it is a pretty good 100 bucks spent

I was looking at getting a ZZP's "stage 2 performance kit" which includes their PCM, so if it is so bad, what is a better one that I can get for those mods? I can't seem to find anyone around me that will scan and give me a tune if I get those parts (or something similar)....

Here is what I was looking at (minus the PCM now obviously)....
Wizaired CAI with 4" K&N filter
    ZZP 1.0 pcm
    3.4" Modular pulley system
    Smaller supercharger belt
ZZP 3" bolt in aluminized cat'd downpipe with gaskets
    Autolite 104 spark plugs
    180* thermostat and gasket

PCM recommendation for that set up? I really don't think that I will ever mod it more than that...
