only thing i can think of is over/under torque or a bad bolt, that being said, i rotated the engine while installing the bolts and installed to the rec. ft#... so your guess is as good as mine....

machine shop here you come ha that blows man good luck and i hope you can get er done soon =]

Doubt I would even reuse that head after that...but that is just me...

can someone explain whats going on? is the left hole filled up?

the bolt is broken in it...

forgot to take a picture of the bent pushrod (the one still in the head in the pic)
but heres the rest of the damage:



the "cap" was flush, and couldnt be removed at first, the retaining ring was just chillin there...




Im not a lifter expert, but I'm pretty sure this inst supposed to be on an angle :P



Head comes off tomorrow and goes into the shop to get check out, pretty sure i can get the remaining rocker bolt out.. They're not stock heads, so I REALLY dont want to give up on them unless they're FUBAR

Why? Any halfway competent tech at a machine shop can properly remove that bolt.

Kev, what rocker arm bolts were you using?
