You are 100% right about the plugs and gap! And also about the heat sheilds. You don't need them for my plugs BTW.
It can be done with fairly easily with a socket and ratchet. Just reach around to the back from the passenger side if you have long arms like me. Other wise get to it how ever you can. And it's a lot easier if you do it while the engine is cool.
