should have around 130-150, but remember its not the psi, its the variation accross the cylinders, which i believe is +/- 50 percent, not exactly sure on that though.

I think it is 30% within all measurements. You check it with a compression testing gauge. It usually comes with a different type of fittings for different size plugs and you can just pull all of the plug wires off of your car so it will not run. Take a plug out. Screw this gauge in. Crank it over like 5 times. The gauge will hold the measurement where the peak PSI was reached. You verify the measurement. Then hit the presure release button. Then go to the next one.

You write down all of the measurements form each cylinder and make sure they are all within 30 percent of each other. The gauge will run you 10-25 bucks.

Basicly you are checking for worn rings when doing this.

it depends, if u have that heat shield, egr assembly, and 02 connector mounting clip, its gonna be a pita, otherwise just undo the 2 dog bones and rock the engine foward.

You can get to them with out it rolled forward, but why not just roll it forward? Un bolt the front mounts and put a ratchet strap on it and pull it forward.

it won't hurt anything pulling the engine forward like that? There are 4 engine mounts on the bottom of the block, right? Rocking the engine forward doesn't stress them too much?

It shouldnt hurt any. Take a look at the stock upper motor mounts they allow the engine+tranny to move forward quite a bit. Just rev your engine and look for yourself.
then there is two other mounts that hold the transmission and the other holds the engine. The main thing here is to make sure when you are pulling the engine forward is to make sure any wires or other connections are not being stressed so they dont break.
. Other then that you should be just fine

By the way for the n/a guys with the 9:4:1 compression i was getting around 185 to 190 psi. when cranking the engine for 3 seconds. Make sure you disable the fuel injectors and spark when your doing this also.
99 Grand Prix old build- CAI, Custom exhaust, HV3, Stage 2 TB, custom tune, ported heads intense s1x cam, headers.
Nothing great Just a small T66 Turbo with a Hv3 On a stock tranny untill i finish the other one.

There are two at the bottom, hence why it needs the upper two as well.
