Packages are a joke. By mods separate and don't drop a pulley as your first or third mod for that matter.

you wont find a turbo kit that you can make run well for less than $5k. you dont just need a turbo kit.

if you want to make your car fast then tell us. if you want to make it quick then tell us.

i ask these questions literally once a day if not more: how fast do you want to go? how much do you want to spend? do you know how to work on cars?

With a 4500 budget you could do a lot of things.

A whole lot of things. What kind of times does your brother run? What is important to you, and what do you not want to do to your car.
    Engineering the impossible.

here, i will quote my own PM to you:

not enough money to beat that. youd need a full blown turbo setup to even think of keeping up.

you can have a turbo setup for $4500 if youre smart about parts, but your transmission will be gone in a few weeks.

    big statement there.

you realize there is like 3 cars to EVER reach 400 whp m90 setups? they were full blown, heads, cam, big headers, open downpipes, ported everything you can port, and RACE GAS. you will never get a normal m90 setup to 400 whp without a swiss bank account.

if you REALLY want to beat his mustang, buy a different car and start over. what is everyone's fascination with beating other people's cars....there is always going to be someone faster.

better yet, buy a bike. there, you win and youre stock. bet he cant say that.

i doubt that performance package will net you 120 hp increase. that setup is a joke.

you might be able to get 400 whp with $4500 on a TURBO setup, but never on a supercharger setup. if you get that far and actually make the power your transmission will blow up and youll then have to invest in a built one to take the power which will be another at least $2000.

like i said. you cannot make a reliable 400 whp grand prix for $4500. you almost need damn near $10k to do it right. buy a different car if you want that much power and want to have it run for longer than a week at a time.

tdc's xp cam, fullsize intercooler, 2.8 pulley headers ran even with a stock 03-04 cobra. so you will atleast need that and a little more because there putting down about 370-390.

more important tho, what times does he run at the track???
white 04 comg G gtp. wizair, pacesetters, slp 1.8 rr

a 400 rwhp mustang i would say would run in the LOW 12s if not 11s with the right amount of traction. there is no way youll make a grand prix run that fast all the time on pump gas without a full blown, max effort setup.

The turbo setup that would be required would probably snap the input shaft on the first run. The transmission rebuild wouldn't be eventual, it would be immediate.
