Sorry if my post came across as negative. I am just one to see something R&D'ed on a car before spending money on it you know. A perfect example are those fly by night Ebay headers. They sure would work great for the price if they actually put time and engineering into them.

You're going a great job at these and if I had the money and if someone bought it or you had it on your car so I could see it installed...I'd be all over it like a fly on horse chit.

Have you ever checked to see if there is room to drill through the core and make a passage from the PCV hole in the LIM to the PCV port in the bottom of the blower?
It's pretty easy on a Gen5 to re-route the fresh air feed, but this would be more appealing to me if I knew that I could keep the stock vacuum source and retain a functional pcv system.

negative, this core is way too big, measures 7.5 inches wide. i have checked lots of possible ways and came to the conclusion it would either... 1. have to be a thicker overall piece to incorporate slots to divert the passages, or 2. find a core that is still 2" thick but thin enough to just be the 4" opening.

is there a benefit to it though? I mean if I'm intercooled and meth injected.... would it have the same effect to just spray more meth?

no, youd have an intercooler and you would be able to add more octane. youd be able to run more timing/boost than you would with just one or the other.

Running both an IC an alky would be very benificial as long as you set everything up properly.
    That's my ultimate goal.
Neither one nor the other can completely cool down the incoming air charge from these blowers, especially when you start spinning them very fast.

    To the OP:
Don't give up just because some people ridicule you. Even ZZP gets tons of **** for their new products (I'm sure you've seen the control arm thread on clubgp?) Besides, I want one as soon as I come up with a custom PCV system for the vacuum side (already got the fresh air side taken care of). I'm thinking of selling my zzp stage 2 and switching it out for one of these hopefully this summer.

I was looking at doing something similar for mine. Yours looks great!!! Do you find that the phenolic works better than aluminum? Don't stop building these for everyone. We need alternatives since we all don't have boatloads of money to throw around. How much do you sell yours for? I have a 98 series II 3.8 S/C engine.
    Lambokit to be built!!!!!

Phenolic is much easier to work with than aluminum. And offers a much better heat soak resistance than aluminum. Were looking to put together an entire kit consisting of GM pump,FMHE,Hoses,I/C ect ect all for hundreds less than ZZP.

And you can also be looking foward to buying the best FMHE on the market right now. That can be said for the I/C as well.

I'll be honest. I'm leaning towards the ZZP FMHE right now. It fits with no cutting and bolts to existing mounts. I don't modify my car permanently by drilling or cutting, so if that's required for the one you're selling I won't opt for it.

I like the idea of a kit, though. minichopper, I'm looking at getting one of your phenolic cores this summer, ZZP FMHE, and a GM pump. Should leave me money left over for a set of PRJ fuel rails.

You did not think I'd go through all of this and not have it bolt up do you? I'm waiting for the I/C to show up at my door so I can start the fab work.

We'll be looking foward to your purchase..... Of a compleate bolt on kit.

We hope that you will be looking foward to saving a cupple hunderd on making that impalla a lot quicker.
